Mayan Space-Time Science
"For the elders the message for this moment is to call everybody to unity. All the people must work not just for peace, but to create a consciousness, in harmony, first with themselves, then with others, and of course with mother Earth, mother nature, because we are destroying mother Earth and nobody gives importance to this destruction."
Carlos Barrios
Mayan elders do not conceive of time and space as separate entities, space-time rather like Einstein's space-time, is a single quantity. It is a referred to as najt, a spiral where history mostly repeats itself in a period of time. Joyfire presents Mayan Space-Time Science with a leading Mayan voice in the world today.

2012 - The Beginning of the Fifth Sun
|
Here are some important quotes from Carlos:
"What's going to happen on this famous date of the 21st of December 2012 is not the end of humanity. It is the beginning of the Fifth Sun and that means also the fifth element[aether]. It's going to happen that there is a fusion of polarities. The people of darkness are not interested in losing the power that they have at this time, and they would prefer to destroy humanity or even the entire planet like a being. They prefer to destroy this than go to the fusion created by aether, the new element arriving to this reality. The change won't happen exactly on this day because it's not changed like a flash of light. It will take years, but this is the awareness, this is the moment of peace, of real understanding, of comprehension, and tolerance, and all humanity can live really in harmony. That's what the elders are saying, especially to the people who are at the forefront of the different religions and traditions or all these new age people who are working. They call to all these people to go into the real traditions, the deeper traditions, the oldest tradition which has not just a part of the knowledge, but all the knowledge to transform into wisdom."
The Mayan Calendar is Correct!
"There are 20 different Mayan calendars. One of these is cosmic. Another is galactic. Another has the faces of Venus, but in essence there is a calendar which is called the Long Count. This calendar is for 5,200 years, with 360 days each year. This calendar doesn't have a mistake because the Mayan people never lost count of the days. What happened is the Gregorian calendar needed to make a lot of corrections, and this happened with the Pope Gregorio in 1200 A.D. something. He understood that it was not correct and it affected agriculture, and he ordered some people to make the corrections. Before this calendar was the Julian calendar. This calendar came from Roman times, and of course, this also had many mistakes. What happened with the Gregorian and Julian is not our problem. We know our dates. We know we are in the exact count and Mayans have the most perfect calendar of all the races, of all the civilizations, because we just need to add one day each 260,000 years. That's the most amazing and incredible calendar, and we don't have a mistake. The mistake is in the other calendars. And the story someone told about this time (that the date is incorrect) is because they aren't using the real Mayan calendar. They are based in the Gregorian and the Julian. For us there is not a problem. We just take the base of the day exactly when the Long Count is finished for these times- the date of 21st of December of 2012- and there is not a mistake for us. The mistake is for the people who relate it to the Gregorian, but we are clear. We never lost our count. Ok?" For the rest of this Q&A session with Carlos Barrios click here

The Mayan Culture & Space-Time Calendars Explained
|
|
An important Mayan calendar called the Tzolkin, or sacred count. The Maya believe that each day of the Tzol’kin has an energy that influences events. In general, the Tzolkin is a perpetual 260 day calendar created by the permutations of 20 symbols and 13 numbers. This calendar can be traced back three thousand years to an earlier civilsation called the Olmecs and it is still in use today by modern Maya living in the Guatemalan highlands. The cycle that this calendar represents is not based on the movement of our Sun, the Earth, or any other planet in the solar system. The Tzolkin is synchronized with the movement of energy and consciousness within our galaxy, and can be referred to as the galactic spin. All the other cycles of stars and planets are built into, and follow from the Tzolkin. The Tzolkin reflects the Hunab Ku, the conscious center of the galaxy. Hunab Ku can be translated as “One Giver of Movement and Measure,” and is conceptually equivalent to God, Great Spirit, or Absolute Being. The Maya believed it was necessary to align oneself with this energy to attain spiritual harmony in life and with nature. The Tzolkin is a powerful tool which can be utilized for retrieval of galactic information. It can also be used to synchronize your self, through resonance, with the galactic whole. Prophetic Messages Old & New

In 1790, a massive carved stone disc was dug up in Mexico City and is now on display in the Museum of Anthropology, Mexico.
Historically, the Aztec name for the huge basaltic monolith is Cuauhxicalli Eagle Bowl, but it is universally known as the Aztec Calendar or Sun Stone. It was during the reign of the 6th Aztec monarch in 1479 that this stone was carved and dedicated to the principal Aztec deity: The Sun. It weighs almost 25 tons, has a diameter of just under 12 feet, and a thickness of 3 feet. The central motif is said to show the five ages of the world, called ‘Suns’. Each of these Suns is said to have ended in catastrophe, with the central image - usually said to be Tonatiuh, the sun god - representing the present era. Notice the astronomical significance of the sun god with it's tongue stuck out. Now we live in times with the behaviour of the Sun is "unprecedented", with solar flares spitting out huge plumes of energy. Maybe this stone was carved as a warning to future generations.

[Mayan researchers who are trying to "re-adjust" the Mayan Long Count end-date to be anything other than 21st of December 2012 are deliberately trying to mislead. Joyfire Editor]

Be Warned!
In January 2006 in an interview, Carlos Barrios and Adam Rubel from Saq Be' were asked to comment on a particular Mayan calendrical period. The result was they very politely exposed that a so-called "World Authority" on the Mayan Calendar was creating their own interpretations and passing them off as genuine Mayan timekeeping. As we approach closer to 2012 and events get turbulent, we have to be very careful who we pay attention to and if we are in doubt we must go back to genuine Mayan Elders for clarity. Interpretations are valid if it is made very clear how they have been derived so that there is no confusion as to authenticity. Similar, as the next World Age is about balance and harmony, it is of concern that we have researchers picking unnecessary fights to bolster their own position. Wrong energy. This is highlightened here as there does seem to be attempts underway to cleverly distort Mayan timekeeping and predictions. The following links are provided to help those who are interested in the ongoing "debate" amongst Mayan researchers.
The John Major Jenkins Vs Carl Johann Calleman "Debate"
If you like heated intellectual debates, you will love the exchanges between these two Mayan Researchers who have presented critiques on each others work. After a bruising encounter with Major Jenkins, Calleman has stated that those who follow his Mayan Creation Cycle end-date are people who are aligned with the Light, while those that chose to agree with the authentic Mayan end-date, December 21, 2012, are aligned with Darkness. It makes one wonder how the Mayan Elders feel about this, since they have faithfully kept their calendars over thousands of year and through periods of terrible persecution. Those who are "balanced" will quickly recognise the "unbalance" as one goes through the arguments!
